What the Heck is NFC?

You'd most likely have encountered NFC without even knowing it!
Now, we've put it into our products to make life simpler for you.

"Near Field Communication", or "NFC" for short, lets you establish a connection between two compatible devices by simply tapping them together. We’ve already been using this technology in our door access or subway cards, and now it has also made its way into most new smart devices, like the Google Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. You can still choose to pair your device to say, a speaker, using the conventional way via Bluetooth, but since NFC is a really nifty way to do the same thing in just a single tap – so why not?

Thus, with a mind to simplify your lives, we’ve decided to incorporate this convenient feature into Creative’s new range of products – the Sound Blaster EVO headsets and the Creative Airwave Series of speakers. So you simply tap your smart device at the back of the Creative Airwave speaker or at the side of the Sound Blaster EVO headset, and you’re good to go!

Note: While NFC is being used to establish the Bluetooth pairing, wireless music streaming still requires Bluetooth connectivity.
